At Burke Law Group, PLLC, we understand that you may be going through major transitions in your life and that during these trying times, you need a lawyer who is not only experienced, but compassionate as well. We offer a full range of family law legal services, from divorce and modifications of support or parenting plans, to adoption and third party custody, using the legal process taylored to the specific needs of each client.

John Burke has received extensive collaborative law training, and was one of the first attorneys in the Spokane area to start resolving divorces using the collaborative practice model. John now limits his family law practice to collaborative practice cases. He also does estate planning for small to mid-sized estates.

Patty Grossman finished her collaborative law training in 2007. While she is a strong supporter of collaborative practice she has chosen to use her extensive litigation experience for those clients who choose or need representation for traditional family litigation in the court. Patty also practices in the areas of estate planning and real estate law.

Kelly Padgham concentrates her law practice in family law litigation, offering her clients representation in all aspects of traditional family law litigation.  While Kelly recognizes the numerous advantages of collaborative practice over litigation, she also realizes that sometimes a person does not have the opportunity to decide between collaborative practice versus litigation.  This most often happens when the spouse or "significant other" has already selected a litigation attorney who is not collaboratively trained and has initiated the court action, or when there are patterns of on-going abuse requiring the intervention and protection of the court. Kelly also practices in the areas of estate planning and collections.

We understand that in addition to the stress of your legal concerns, you may be worried about the cost of hiring an attorney. Our goal is to provide high-quality services at a reasonable cost. Our firm staunchly believes that with the proper representation, you can resolve your legal issues in a collaborative manner and achieve your goals in a non-adversarial way.  Because of the nature of the collaborative practice model, most family law cases can be resolved at a fraction of the cost of traditional litigation.
